DIARRHEA DURING SA - !!! ADVICE NEEDED !!!
I sometimes have episodic periods of DIARRHEA! I CANNOT drink milk and sometimes I'll eat something and then it goes straight through me. Okay, so it's not really diarrhea but it's like immediate poo and if the food is a bit oily then it'll be like a loose explosion but not water.
What if I am on a DD call taking notes? Or doing something like that ... I don't want to shit myself but can I excuse myself ?? How do I get through that
Note: please don't tell me to wear a diaper, I asked some friends first and they told me to wear a diaper - i am NOT wearing a diaper !!

You probably have IBS + lactose intolerance (I’ve got the same combo). Talk to your GP, look into probiotics, and increase your daily intake of fiber.

Unironically also randomly happens to me, like once a year go through a period where I don't feel ill but everything I eat goes straight through me and can't control shits. Nearly happened towards the end of an internship for me as well.

edit: actually if you are having it frequently it might be IBS or IBD so worth getting checked out

Unironic advice - I have a colon condition similar to crohns / IBS. My medication has me flip flopping between diarrhea and constipation. It’s not always easy but office environments should be doable. I would suggest eating very mindfully. I’ve cut out greasy food and while it’s less convenient it’s really beneficial. You could also avoid eating before or during a meeting. In general it will be okay to briefly excuse yourself unless you’re speaking or presenting. Remember that this is just a job and shitting your pants just to write down a note is completely unnecessary. Prioritize your health. Occasional remote work has made it a little more convenient.
