Did I miss the boat

First of all, glad to be part of the forums.

I have a question regarding application dates. I really wish to get into I-banking, specifically trading, and I only realized this upon completion of my undergraduate degree in physics this summer. I quickly found out that such jobs are usually applied for a year in advance. My question is, did I miss the boat, are there ever immediate openings for entry level positions around this time of year? I am already been unemployed for a few months and do not waste any more of my time. Thanks in advance for any advice.

The boat's set sail quite a while ago. This topic really isn't worth addressing in this forum. Go to bank websites to read up on the recruiting processes. Full-time analyst recruiting at the majority of banks is mostly complete.
