Difference between IBD groups?
Hello. What is the difference between M & A and say, the Energy group at GS? The Energy group will never work on M & A deals, but just offerings? Out of all the groups in IBD, which would be best to position yourself for a job at a L/S Fundamental Hedge Fund? Thanks.
You probably don't want to join the M&A group at Goldman Sachs, unless your goal is to lateral to jt marlin.
I'm just using GS as an example.
