Differences between biopharma, biotech, and pharmaceuticals
Can someone provide a high-level understanding of the differences between these 3?
I understand that biotech utilizes technology to create drugs through using living organisms whereas pharmaceuticals use chemicals to create drugs. Not sure on the differences between the 3 (biotech, biopharma, and pharma)
Some sources say that biotech doesn't even create drugs. So I've interpreted it this way: biotech just makes products and that's where biopharma steps in which create drugs through the use of biotechnology. Anybody who can clarify this would be of great help! Thanks!
