NGL, $300K for a Director is bit low given how expensive it has become getting a house / apt etc with a family.
I’m reasonably confident $300ish is pretty market for Director with upside on the bonus portion as you get more experience and responsibilities. You’re right, $300 doesn’t go very far with 2-bed+ and some kids. I felt better off making $150 base when I was single
if you're trying to live solely off your base, $300k in NYC will only support buying an apartment that's $1.5mm (so realistically a small 2 bedroom in Manhattan or a medium 2 bedroom in Brooklyn), so yeah, pretty hard to raise a family. Renting will still limit you to nothing more than a 2 bedroom or 3 max. Makes you dependent on at least some portion of your bonus to maintain a nice lifestyle
RBCs 275K for both VPs and Directors across all years. Last I heard they were considering a bump for Directors but not sure if this was implemented yet.
dude, no bank has VPs at the same base as Ds. It's $275k and $300k at RBC
I know for a fact Ds at RBC were making $275K as recent as 2021. I guess they bumped it up
