Distinction between M&A / IBD Sector Coverage / DCM / ECM / Regional Teams

I am joining a BB as a new analyst within the IBD group to cover a sector.

I was wondering if some one could explain ..how the different teams interact on a given deal.

For example....If I am an analyst covering the healthcare sector in London and have been staffed on a deal involving a medical company in Germany which is looking at strategic options for a poorly performing division - spin off division through IPO, sell division to PE, sell division to other companies within sector, recapitalize, etc

Which teams - M&A, IBD Healthcare Coverage Team, ECM, Local Germany IBD Team...... would be working on such an assignment and who would manage such an engagement ?

Would greatly appreciate...somebody explaining the above.

Thanks.
