Do analysts have a PE expiration date?
Was curious to see if someone could answer this. If you don't do the typical 2+2 route and instead stick around as analyst and get direct promoted to associate in year 3 or 4, would headhunters/PE firms consider you for pre-MBA PE slots if you decided at that point you wanted to make a switch (assuming you've never gone through the recruiting process previously)?
You can move during your first 18 months as an associate but after that it is extremely difficult. Just my experience talking to people at my firm and seeing blasts from headhunters and the types of candidates they are looking for
