Do Banks Buy Employees New Subscriptions?/Portfolio Restrictions at IB/PE/HF
I've had to pause the AdBlocker on a lot of websites to access information for investment research, and that's not even enough for some sites (like some articles on Bloomberg or Business Insider). Do investment banks buy subscriptions for the entire office? I guess it wouldn't be necessary since you're getting paid enough to afford a subscription, but I was just wondering.
Also, as an analyst at an investment bank, am I allowed to actively manage my own independent portfolio? I'm also interested in learning more about portfolio restrictions at PE/HF
