TBH no - I was at one of the firms listed above in one of the better groups and EB recruiting was not fun. Ended up at MOE/LAZ/PWP but also had several BB offers (recruiting last year was a free-for-all). Helped that my old group punches above it's weight (HC)

 

I wouldn’t write yourself off and definitely think this could be possible, particularly if you have strong group-specific experience. I went from a 10-person boutique to an EB and the only thing people cared about was relevant experience and ability to hit the ground running.

May not be remembering correctly, but I think SG handles laterals for CVP so might be worth trying to set up an intro call if you’ve got your story down.
