Do I have to pay NY state tax if I have been WFH in Texas?

Just did my taxes on turbotax, been WFH since April 2020 in Texas with no state income tax.

Depending on whether I list my Apr to Dec sources of income as NY or not, my  ny state tax return ranges from either like 2K to as much as 24k (essentially paying me back the ny state tax withholdings my employer made).  If I work for a euro BB based in Switzerland, work on deal teams spread around the globe, and have moved my residency to Texas, am I really liable for NY state taxes from April to Dec 2020?  Anyone run into this?
