Couldn’t agree more! What I heard from my friends - it’s really really bad and well below the average. I think that the minute you get a job at BNP, you have to start applying somewhere else. People tend to get offers from good places.
What did you guys get? AN1 in contentinental Europe Mid-bucket review 33% of base and EUR 10k base pay bump here
.
I mean yeah, obviously lol
Last year has been a nightmare, but this year is below everything you can imagine. Stay away from BNPP!!!
.
What did you expect from a socialist French MM bank?
I think people dont expect much but still get disappointed. For experience its good in Europe. One of the leading LevFin Groups but would never consider working there again.
Surprised reading sentiment around here. Got a 65% bonus as an A1 in London, and know fellow juniors got compensated fairly well too (know of 75-80% bonuses for Analysts in a very underwhelming year)
you call DB not a BB and yet you work at BNPP LMAOOOOOOO
X
BNP stands for Bonus Not Paid
There HR in france is just a shit show. Like pure fucking incels. Got an offer from them and had to reject later coz the HR was just unbearable haha. Never goto stupid incompetents called BNP Paribas
Have a few buddies at BNP that are struggling. One of which is addicted to Oxy and the other consistenly abuses Nyquil throughout the day... This kind of behavior seems relatively celebrated and is very concerning to me. #needinterventionformyfriends #BNPhell
How could they afford those given they work at BNP lol
Damn thanks for letting me know man I was really considering working for a low-T French bank
Curious are the hours at bnp lower? Does that French culture extend to usa offices?
You get all the downsides of French culture with none of the upsides (4 hour lunch breaks, retirement at 12 years old)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I was an intern at BNP in Paris - I cannot agree more.
They are so cheap… It was a 6 month internship and after 3 months they told us that “interns are no longer allowed to order food”. And at the end of the internship, interns used to get €2k bonus but they decided to cut that as well and I ended up with only €1k (someone has 0). Also, the monthly salary was €1,600 or something like that (post tax)
They are incredibly cheap, and to that you need to add the horrible French culture (many crazy / mental people over there, who think they are the king of the world)
They are very cheap
similar vein, dont work for standard chartered
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) disagrees
.
They’re not the only French Bank out there
Bump
Bonuses shit everywhere genius
Isn’t that always the case during economic downturns like recessions
Does anyone know about their asset finance team? . Any insights on deal flow, pay, bonus, and typical exits would be really helpful.
What even is asset finance?
The Asset Finance and Securitization group sitting in their Global Banking sector
How was the bonus for this year?
I heard terrible things. To reiterate, BNP = Bonus Not Paid
Have you heard any figures?
It was absolutely $hit. Looking to get out asap
know if this extends to S&T?
Can someone give an actual number? All of these comments about low bonuses are so vague
