Do superiors care if you watch TV while you work?
Hey all,
So I've been getting work done pretty quickly, more quickly than my bosses expect. Surprisingly, I work faster if I multitask. Is it looked down on to have say netflix up while I'm doing work?
take a wild guess
I'm actually asking this generally, for future jobs as my current boss doesn't give a shit. I'm a summer and I just asked him if he had any objection to it and he said as long as it doesn't affect my work he was cool with it. Been catching up on all my shows
Someone's not get an offer back...
They will not like that, unless it's something educational like American Psycho or Trading Places
Catching up on shows? Correct me if I am wrong but I thought unemployment was still at 8.2%
Well good thing I'm good at what I'm doing
Watching TV is only acceptable when there is a major news event... 9/11, Tiger Woods cheating on his wife press conference, Osama Bin Laden is dead, New president...
bhahaha

You know it's bad when I didn't even get the joke for a minute because that day was a huge deal in our office hahaha.
Anyway, I'm assuming it's not common based on the other responses but in our office we have TVs in like every corner imaginable in the fishbowl/middle of the office and they all turn from CNBC (which is on all during the trading day) to whatever movie or TV show my boss seems to find appropriate for the moment if he's in the office. We taught him how to hook his computer to the TVs with an HDMI and now he's obsessed.
