do u tell ur network when u get a job?

so being a 4th year, i had been networking a fair bit for the past semester and got a decent stint at a BB for FT (under their investment management)...i honestly wanted IBD but in this environment, this seemed like my best bet and so i took it up...the thing is that i have not yet informed my network which is spread in different BBs that i have accepted something since I don't want them to think that i was not as keen on their firm as i showed it to be...what would u recommend? do i not mention about this opportunity or should i share with them? very confused....

Should tell them eventually and thank them for all of their help and support. Say you want to maintain contact periodically (could help later down the road if cuts happen).

Yes, thank them for their help. If you pulled a kid in for an interview, wouldn't you appreciate a thank you note (even if the kid ultimately doesn't receive an offer/accepts elsewhere?) It can't hurt to keep in touch.
