Do you have to recruit a year late transferring to Uchicago?

Freshman at a target in a similar tier, do not like it at all even though i made it into a top club (super cutthroat and overly preprofessional, want a more academic environment. grinding technicals and cranking out pitches, even though that has its mental and tangible rewards, is not going to serve me as well as building a super strong mental ability from academics in a post AI world). So heavily considering uchi TED.
I also do want to preserve my recruiting ability though; if I transfer to uchi, is recruiting fully club-dependent (which i know is fucked for sophomores)? What abt for smaller non-eb banks? Also do I have to recruit a year behind because of the extra quarter required for transfers? could this be an advantage?
