In my experience, not really. I mean it’s impressive, but really all recruiters care about is if you’re above the cutoff (Usually 3.7)
Idk. A 2.7 would probably differentiate you more
Edit: The post originally asked if a 4.0 from OP's school would differentiate from a 3.9 from a higher ranked school
I think the one thing that can help you is if you get to the Minimum GPA for Honors and or a Dean's list
That’s lowk free af though…you have to be kinda rart not to get that
You have such a way with words...
You sound lowk rart no cap fr fr
How's Mich a semi target, non-Ross?
Bros trippin
Congrats on UT
damn is UT that ass
UT kids will shaft the idea of ut being a semi target down ur throat
I would say so, but only slightly. Coming from non-target, having 4.0 on top of leadership involvements, relevant clubs, a freshman summer internship and one lined up for sophomore summer, it will put you above peers who have those boxes checked as well. Mostly only matters in getting the interview but did have it come up in a MM IB interview and got a compliment... At the end of the day anything above the minimum (3.7 ish) will not drastically change where you get interviews.
Thanks for the feedback! How was recruitment for you?
Good - accepted SA24 at a BB. Feel free to PM if you have any other Qs
Based on my experiences, yes, I think a 4.0 does help, just because it is so rare to find, meaning the resume just catches the eye.
But once you get passed the initial screens, it doesn't really matter, since technicals + fit is the next "screen."
Yes, but most people are not going to give it a huge weight. Just having a 4.0 does not mean much. If you have other good credentials too, it is a cherry on top.
