Blastoise has an imposter, it's not an alternate. The new guy uses a capital 'i' instead of a lowercase 'L', you can tell because his posts are actually slightly troll-like whereas blastoise's are usually priceless and include some form of meme or demotivational imagery.
firefighter didn't really troll hugely, he just made some dumb threads trying to play off prestige stereotypes. He wouldn't reply in them, just create them and let flaming ensue.
