Does Capital Markets always = IB?
A contact of mine is going to forward my resume to a few of his friends in capital markets at regional banks. I have "seeking a career in investment banking" on my resume under my objective. Is this okay? Is all capital markets considered IB?
Just delete your objective line. It's pointless and presumed already, and it's just going to limit your options or make you look like a douche.
But if it's already sent, most people in capital markets consider themselves bankers (even if IBD/GCM is separate in the bank) so I can't imagine this being much of an issue.
Absolutely kill the objective line on your resume
Okay, so now its just: education, experience, service and leadership. Does that sound okay?
Well assuming you have your contact info (# and email) and also some skills listed such as programs/softwares you know how to use. Also, any clubs and hobbies, which usually can make good talking points.
