Does having IB on resume help get into masters?

So I have a 3.8+ gpa from a non target school, secured my offer (Houston), but realized I am graduating 1 year early. I’m trying to fill that gap with a masters in accounting, and yes I know it’s not necessary and it’s nerdy but what the hell am I supposed to do outside of that. There’s only so much money to be spent in 1 year as well as places to travel. So here are some questions.

  1. Out of curiosity do you think when applying to UT, RICE, Etc. I will get in fairly easily or should I be stressing a lot.

  2. Since I signed a MM bank do you think pursuing a CPA and going to somewhat of a prestiges school in Texas will help my chances for PE recruiting?

Been thinking a lot, and have been worried about placing well in PE. Since I am at MM bank in Houston I want to make sure I maximize every opportunity, would love to hear the communities thoughts.
