Can't be good for anyone to be stressed months in a row
Dude relax you don’t need to do all of that and you the moment you feel your health deteriorating let your staffer know you need a break and if they push back demand it. People push themselves too hard to get top bucket and all it does is hurt you
Can you tell people that when you are 1st year? Sounds risky
Yes. The analyst / staffer relationship is probably the most important and if you are open with them, they will listen. Just can’t push back work when you aren’t busy.
That attitude is the reason why people are so afraid to speak up lol. I'm a first year too and my experience got a lot better the second I realized I could just ask for whatever I needed. I didn't see any of the other first years take vacations (granted we have been WFH), but I still asked for a few days off and the staffer actually told me to go ahead and take 5 days off as that was the new company policy. I've also pushed back on staffings before because I've had rough experiences where I've been over 100% capacity because I wasn't completely transparent about my workload and was too afraid to say no. At the end of the day, no staffers will be upset that you push back or ask for a break, but they'll have no idea about what you're going through if we continue to maintain this culture where we're too afraid to ask for what we need.
