That attitude is the reason why people are so afraid to speak up lol. I'm a first year too and my experience got a lot better the second I realized I could just ask for whatever I needed. I didn't see any of the other first years take vacations (granted we have been WFH), but I still asked for a few days off and the staffer actually told me to go ahead and take 5 days off as that was the new company policy. I've also pushed back on staffings before because I've had rough experiences where I've been over 100% capacity because I wasn't completely transparent about my workload and was too afraid to say no. At the end of the day, no staffers will be upset that you push back or ask for a break, but they'll have no idea about what you're going through if we continue to maintain this culture where we're too afraid to ask for what we need.
