i mean it should mean that you should have a wide access to contacts there which you could use to leverage for networking purposes. dont know if it would help at all but it obviously wouldn't hurt. might also catch the peoples eye for an extra second when looking through resumes and get you put into the interview pile
yeah I figured that connections would help the most. it's in a regional HQ in a large city but I don't really see how I can spot people who could push my resume to NY in the future. also I'm applying to SA in 2 years so any advice on who to look for and how to make/keep these connections besides emailing them every other month?

When you say "interning for SA positions" I assume you mean interviewing for SA positions. To answer your question, no it probably does not help unless you reach out to contacts you met in PWM and have them refer you.
