Does previous experience at a firm matter?

If you interned at a BB bank previously in a relatively insignificant role (PWM), does that have any pull when interning for SA positions? I wouldn't be interning for the first internship in the same city where I would be interning for SA.

yeah I figured that connections would help the most. it's in a regional HQ in a large city but I don't really see how I can spot people who could push my resume to NY in the future. also I'm applying to SA in 2 years so any advice on who to look for and how to make/keep these connections besides emailing them every other month?

nice tiger pic btw. fuck the haters.

When you say "interning for SA positions" I assume you mean interviewing for SA positions. To answer your question, no it probably does not help unless you reach out to contacts you met in PWM and have them refer you.
