Doing a SA stint with some experience at working at a small M&A boutique Was wondering if I’ll be given more harder work compared to peers with no experience ? Etc or is the difficulty of work the same across the board ?

That's not how this works. They'll be focussing on other competencies. You'll get the same level of work, but you're expected to make less attention to detail mistakes. Don't go inviting trouble asking for harder and harder stuff and then ultimately not be able to do it, it doesn't impresss anyone. Focus on doing the basics and getting the basics right all the time.
Also dont neglect the social aspect of the job
