"Don't include firm in Cover Letter's file name"

I don't understand the thinking. I know firms won't like it, but I don't know why.

If you are applying for a role at highly competitive firms, which release their internship applications at the same time, then this is especially odd. If I make it to an interview, the interviewer asks me which other firms I am considering, and I say "None", then I would have failed that question. They would think it was bullshit, and I didn't demonstrate that I was making considered choices as to why I was choosing their firm. No one thinks I studied the area like it was my religion, so I'd get through the process and have such conviction that I would work at their Mid Market that I'd consider unemployment preferable to any other firm.

It also indicates I may systematically organise my files.
