Don't Know if I Can Make it 2 Years

Hey all. Currently a first year analyst having a really hard time adjusting to the job. Considering exiting asap, but I think I'll try to stick it out til the 1-1.5 year mark to avoid any major red flags on the resume. With that said, I had always envisioned myself going to PE after my analyst stint but doubt I'll want to go down that path given my experience in finance so far.

I would appreciate any advice on next steps. I imagine people on this forum may relate but I feel like my focus on going down this path has negatively impacted my attractiveness as an applicant for jobs in other fields.

P.S. I realize I haven't provided much insight into what I like/want to do next, but that's because I really have no idea. Was hoping people could throw ideas out there and the conversation might be helpful to others.

Dang, feel sorry for you but realize it's a marathon, not a sprint. Ramp up will be quick, but give yourself some time to adjust to things and I'm 100% sure you'll be even more efficient.

For reference, what have you been doing so far being on the job as just a First Year? Heavy deal flow, etc.?
