Hi guys, I'm an incoming SA next year, and was just wondering for those of you who are FT - what was it like starting FT? I'm worried about being able to perform well in the SA and converting, and from there trying to get used to modeling (worried about messing up) and other things? Thank you!

Don’t stress out man. You’re not going to actually be building models as a SA. You’ll be doing work that’s a lot easier than you think. Just be social, actively seek to help in any way you can and have an energetic mindset. Show them you are driven, motivated and likable - you won’t have any issues.
That’s it. Don’t be scared. SA spots are so easy you won’t be doing shit. No SA does anything hard it’s all easy bitch work. In fact that’s how it goes for the first 6 months of real work too.
Before you start, I would learn as much about the organization as you can. For example, if your firm is publicly traded, download a 10-K and get a sense of the hierarchy. This is your opportunity to learn more about the firm before you decide if you want to work full-time there. It will also impress the more senior members of the firm that you have a strong grasp on the decision makers and potentially how the firm intends to move forward strategically.
This is generally a good idea (know who the CFO is) but I'd look at a recent investor day and not a 10K. 10Ks are mostly regulatory language, an investor day will say a lot more about strategy and investment areas. Not all banks hold them but I believe most of the BBs have in the last few years
Yep, that's a better point than mine. And even private firms could have similar presentations that are publicly available.
