Do banks still drug test for cannabis?
I started at my bank last year, summer analyst in 2018. My bank never drug tested me. Do bank still drug test?
I saw that New York banned testing for cannabis, but I would imagine there is an exemption for IB. Any insight is much appreciated.
Any insight from 2020 first years at BBs/EBs would be much appreciated.
was a BB intern this last summer in nyc. They did not test and they did not test in years past.

Never worry again.
I appreciate the input from the fixed income asset management SA. If any FT IB analysts have some input, please speak up.
Thanks
you don't have to be a prick about it
I was messing around, but looking back that was rude.
Didn’t have a drug test as part of my onboarding as an SA, although perhaps covid could have affected this. Industry specific boutique
Yes, of course they drug test.

I make sure that every new employee - analyst all the way up to MD - takes a personal piss test for me on day 1. I keep my own tests at my desk for first day employees and then i test them periodically. I require them to allow me to go with them as to not falsify test results. I have over 2 gallons of my coworkers piss in my desk at any given time.
You must work for the Goldman Sax
.
Yes they do. If you pass the cannabis test then they revoke the offer.
At least for laterals, the only firm that I have heard still drug tests is Lincoln International.
