Earliest time to take pto as an analyst
Recently lateraled to a new firm 6 months ago as an analyst and wondering when it would be okay for me to take a week pto.

I think taking some time off over the summer is pretty standard, yep. Try to coordinate with other people in your team so there's sufficient overlap (which helps you as you then don't need to work through your holiday)

Some contrary advice. If your firm isn’t super mega hardo, take whatever time you need.
You will regret not attending friends wedding or seeing family. One extra day off on a Monday or doing a Thursday-Sunday will not ruin your career.
I find it absurd but then again, my group is relatively chill and not everyone has a 6 foot rod of ego up their ass

For my team, no. My MD is a solid guy and wants us to take breaks. Especially to see family or friends
