EB to MF

Hi,

Incoming An1 at a top US EB (EVR/PJT) in London and wanted to recruit for MF PE. I’ve been reading a few threads on PE recruiting and noticed that EB in london are not as strong as in the US.

Is it worth recruiting for GS/JPM/MS or will I still get looks from top MF from my current bank?

For context, I studied outside the UK and speak a European language.

EVR and PJT do much better on per capita terms than the other EBs and Citi/BofA. EVR has pretty much exited to every top buyout shop except WP and KKR in London. Recent years included SLP, GIP, APAX, Advent, Hg, EQT et al. PJT exits runs the distressed scene here as you should know……

This. As data point literally never seen anyone at my EB leave or even try to leave to top BBs (for IB) - it's effectively always the other way round. Simply no point when you probs will have to lose some seniority (and comp), and would have to stay in banking for longer for such a marginal increase in exits. Once you start working you care less about marginal differencee in prestige.
