EB treasury Internship VS entry level consulting role at (very) small firm?

Hi, I wanted to ask you for advice on deciding between these two options if my end goal is IB. I know none of these roles are 100% related to IB (or related at all for that matter), but if you had to choose one and only one, which would it be?

Thanks in advance.

Go the consulting route, and work on being able to speak intelligently about the clients you worked with. The treasury role will provide you with zero marketable skills related to IB

Thanks for the advice. One thing I forgot to mention is that in case of going for a more quantitative route (ER, AM) if I don't break into IB of course, would you still pick the consulting gig?

Yes, 100%. Treasury at most banks could be pigeonholing and doesn't offer you skills that are required/sought after for roles including AM, IB, ER, etc. Consulting regardless of the brand name is consulting and its all on how you discuss your experiences.
