ECM (BB) - Private Capital Markets/Solutions group
Anyone have insights on/worked in a private capital group in ECM at a BB (think MS/Citi/BofA/JPM)? From what I understand, companies are staying priv for longer, and learning how priv market instruments, funding rounds, & secondaries work seems to provide a valuable skill set for markets oriented buy-side roles (VC/growth equity/PE).
I mean what priv company wants to deal with SEC shenanigans, quarterly earnings reports, and the overall ruthlessness of Wall St when early stage employees/LPs can get liquidity in priv markets?
