ECM intern BNP paribas interview (scared)
BNP Paribas ECM interview tomorrow and nervous about technicals. I have no experience in Finance so I'm surprised I was selected for an interview. Just wondering what should I expect and what I could talk about in my interview in regards to current capital markets.
Brush up on what’s happening in the markets right now in general across asset classes, what the central banks are doing and expected to do soon - impact on ECM products (IPOs etc) and then read up on recent deals executed by BNP. Good luck.

Same as above. ECM don’t really look for technicals unless you get unlucky and are interviewed by a M&A banker. Just keep telling BNP how much better they are vs Barclays UBS and DB as they love that.
Maybe research IPOs in the pipeline upcoming in 2025/26. Impact of recent tariffs on ECM activity so acquisition finance largely unaffected, IPOs more affected, expect block sales with market recovery etc
