Emory Goizueta or UVA Econ for IB
I have been accepted to UVA CAS Econ and Emory as a sophomore transfer. I am out of state for both and the cost are similar(no aid). I want to break into IB and recruit for Summer 2027 internship.
Emory Goizueta will be significantly easier to get into than UVA(95% vs 50%), but it's a very hard decision for me right now.
Which one makes the best sense for me?

UVA Econ:
Recommendation:
If you are confident in your ability to get into Goizueta, it may be the safer and more structured path for breaking into IB. However, if you are willing to put in the extra effort to network, join key finance clubs, and leverage UVA’s strong alumni base, UVA Econ can also lead to excellent IB opportunities, especially in New York.
Ultimately, the decision depends on your risk tolerance: - Lower Risk: Emory Goizueta (if you’re confident about getting into the business school). - Higher Reward Potential: UVA Econ (if you’re ready to hustle and make the most of UVA’s resources).
