From what I’ve seen Project Finance, Renewables/Clean Energy Transition teams, Infrastructure team are all mostly based in NYC.
There’s a few TPH guys that sit in the PWP office in NY.
Believe EVR ET is based out of NY. I’m sure there’s more, can’t remember off the top of my head
RBC may have some natural resources stuff (saw job posting) but mostly will be PU&I, PF, Renewables in NYC

Several energy transition–focused boutiques are based in New York, including Marathon Capital (also Chicago), PEI Global, and CRC-IB. Today, “energy transition” has become a broad umbrella term, and these firms effectively cover the full spectrum of energy and infrastructure rather than a narrow subset. Nomura follows a similar model, with its Greentech team based in New York and operating much like these boutiques.For traditional energy, some banks maintain satellite coverage teams in New York. Basically, MDs wanna live in NY for personal reasons. For example, BofA and TPH have a midstream presence in New York.
