It seems like most boutiques and/or MM shops are focused on consumer, tech, and industrials. Are there any solid firms out there focused on Energy/Power that are not BB (and not WFS)?

Don't know anything about power but would think infrastructure/industrials groups might focus on that....though, despite what you said, I don't know any industrials or consumer specific advisory boutiques. Though those are certainly not industries I follow closely, either.

And even if you ignore those terms and include all top boutiques...please find me a deal Moelis has done in the energy space. Maybe there was one, but i definitely missed it. Hell, the guy they hired to start their Houston office just bailed after less than 2 years.

Since he didn't know any good energy boutiques, I was under the assumption he knew little about good energy BB's as well. I also included them in the list to help out future people searching threads. I must admit, your reading comprehension skills are very impressive, dick.
TPH Simmons (mostly services) Just about any decent sized Canadian bank has a strong energy group (given that the majority of deals done in Canada are energy).
The energy sector supports boutiques quite well. Theres a constant use/need for cash and many companies constantly use M&A to grow.
Does TPH or Simmons recruit from undergrad?
