English Major with Banking Internships
I'm a rising sophmore at a non-target liberal arts school who hates econ, so decided to be an english major. I know I want to do IB after graduation and have interned at a VC and a boutique bank over the past 2 summers. Am I completely screwed?
While some firms prefer people from a finance-related discipline, I’ve seen a lot of people who have majored in Math, CS, and even English breaking into BBs and EBs. You just need to keep a strong GPA, demonstrate your interest and experience in IB (which your internships already do), and get your technicals right.
Nah, you’re good. Majored in English and heading to a MF. If you’re worried, buy a modeling course from BIWS/ Peak Frameworks. Good luck!
