ER vs IB

I've been doing a lot of Linkedin hunting and I've noticed a lot of Alabama students land GS or jeffries jobs out of undergrad but they are for ER and not for IB. Is there really that big of a prestige dropoff doing ER and not IB? Realistically, I want to work in Charlotte or somewhere in the south and maintain a salary above 500k, ideally 1M, but I know that sounds unrealistic.

Come back when you're at university because if you're in HS then you don't know what either of these careers are.
