EV calculation
Hi all,
We raised an issue today which discussing the differences in calculating TEV.
Bloomberg, for instance, uses last twelve months up until a previous month of the valuation date, whereas Capital IQ uses TTM including the month of the valuation.
Which brings the question of whether it’s better to do the valuation with data I have now (assuming a valuation date is 2 months back for instance), or simply use the most updated data up to the valuation point.
Happy to hear your thoughts regarding that matter and greatly appreciate any articles or information related!
Thanks 🙏
