Got it myself, have a friend who got it, and saw one or two people in chats asking about hv q’s - so guess the first batch has already gone out

Had a referral from a US Sr. MD to the London office a few months ago (already graduated) and head lateral recruiter said to keep in touch as no roles were open. Emailed her this week to ask if I can be considered for next year's analyst class, turns out she left Evercore.

And the Sr. MD who referred me is also leaving Evercore and is on gardening leave. When I tried saying "Employee referral" in the application, it asked for "referral code", which I don't have. I'm fucked, lol.

Didn't get VI, like you said - the external recruiting company is gatekeeping.

Insane how random the process is. I go to a target with 1st class, have 2 BB off cycle internships and 1 MF PE and still being ghosted

Think that unless your application is “In Review” and you haven’t heard anything, you should still have a chance. I got mine right after my application went from “New” to “In Review”

Sorry to break it to you - they’re not looking for insane Hardos that are only looking to exit. They just care about whether you can do the job reasonably well and have a strong cultural fit

I got 2nd round, but there were only two slots open on Thurs morning. I asked if any more will come out (as not available then) but no response yet

Funniest

Can't wait to see a 28 year old who graduated in 2020 to start as a "fresh graduate" at Evercore!

I'm 22 and I graduated in 2023 from target and currently working at no name shop, and apparently I am not eligible anymore to do OCs and apply to Graduate roles but you know what I see all the time? 28year old hardos with 2 years of off-cycles combined in continental Europe, starting a 3 year masters in esade, lbs, hec etc.. and suddenly being eligible for summers and graduate roles.

Any updates post-1st round? Someone on a whatsapp group said AC invites are out but not sure if true or not

There's an AC next week, but selections for candidates for it aren't yet finalised, so maybe one more wave of 1st rounds but I wouldn't bank on it (unless they do more than one AC)

Those who got invited for interviews what is your background? I check all the boxes but didn’t hear back…
