Evercore diversity restructuring summit

Has anyone hear back yet?  They said by March 10th. I know the app was open for a while. Now I’m typing for word count.

Damn, see a few now. I feel you on that though, I have a 4.0 from a top 10 school (with know grade deflation), have strong clubs and leadership positions, relevant finance classes, internships with well known and extremely selective companies this and last summer, and a bunch of academic awards. And I seem to get rejected from some of these diversity programs still. I think these banks have no interest in increasing diversity otherwise they wouldn’t limit how many strong candidates get offers or worry about protecting their yield for a 2 day event.

Trust me man i feel that. . I actually look through the people at the rx info sessions, and I've yet to see *******a single****** black person at any of the events. I go the extra mile and get involved, learn the industry, follow cases, speak with analysts and somehow i still lose out to these other kids who i know for a fact are just blindly applying to everything. Shit like this is so demoralizing. How can I ever win this game if im losing to boarding school kids that have a tenth the relevant experience/knowledge/interest as I do.

The irony is that most of these programs were expanded because of the “reckoning” from last summer. Yet, you are still hard pressed to find black people in these fields. These programs are just a way for them to feel like they actually did something so they can go on living oblivious. In a diversity program you should not have to search for the 2 black kids but can see plenty of white ones. Also, no one talks about how having so few black people impacts networking.
