M&M is separate to Robey, but is very small (~5 ppl). SMD is very well connected and they do close some very big deals though.

General Advisory (Robey), Tech and healthcare are probably most sought after teams.

Robey creds e.g. Easyjet, Chelsea FC. Super chill culture as well, and you get to work with Simon and Simon. Culture is very very chill.

Tech do loads of sell-sides e.g. XTEL. great flow, but long hours. Them and GS together dominate the Tech space.

Healthcare again great flow but tough hours. Energy is the same - some big O&G connections.

Media are very cool. Some very big and interesting creds (e.g. Kpler, Warner Bros). Work closely with USA.

Chems do mega deals only (e.g. Azkonobel-Axalta). Global head, Tom Massey, is an industry legend and sits in London. Flow is patchy, but when they come, the deals are huge.

Comms you will learn a ton. Giuseppe is EMEA co-head and bring in tonnes of deals. They have great flow and did two 20bn+ european deals this year. Will work very very hard.

UIT the same - very very good flow, big deals, but you will have to grind.

Industrials unsure.

Consumer historically weaker, but hired Jonathan Dale from Roths (former european co-head of consumer) recently - he will likely bring in some flow. Otherwise defo one of the more chill teams.

FIG - very very big and very very good. Dominate insurance in particular (by far the best - no one else comes close). They did every big deal at Lloyd's recently (Zurich-Beazley, Apollo, Inigo, Convex, IQUW, Atrium...)

SDSA - very very cool. London works very closely with Bill Anderson who is the GOAT.

PCA and PFG the best at what they do but very different. PCA has some VERY impressive SMDs.

This is the most accurate summary I’ve ever seen about Evercore London on this site. The only other teams missing are:
- Debt Advisory: long hours but incredible deal flow and a solid team
- Rx: weak deal flow but very chill hours
- Industrials: has historically been solid and Anthony Laubi dominates the paper and packaging space but deal flow has been quieter over the past couple of years
- RESA: not too sure but everyone in that team is permanently stressed

Wow. Someone guzzled a very very big jug of Ever-Core Kool-Aid.

Ever-Core Europe is definitely on the upward trajectory, but to say they dominate any industry is to stretch the truth.

Same about their role on some of the very very big deals - not all, obviously - but in some situations these are just glorified Fairness Opinion roles with limited fees. Need to build business somehow, I guess.

Many right and wrongs here. To sum it up:

Good teams: Tech, HC, General Advisory, Chemicals, FIG, PCA (if you are really interested in this since non traditional IB team)

Solid: Industrials, Media, Consumer, Shareholder Defense, Utilities

Avoid at all costs: Telco, Debt, Resa, ECM advisory
