Anonymous Monkey:

FIG, Industrials and Tech

Do you work at Evercore industrials LOL.

Have a flatmate who works at Evercore; and friends from university working there who would dispute this.

Nope

May be dated but have a couple of friends there who've said Industrials is a sweatshop but with good deal flow.

FIG, GAMA, Utilities Infra & Transport, Tech, Chemicals, Telco are the best teams.

There are many very good teams

How many would you say beat out their equivalent at a GS, MS or a JPM.

I would guess only FIG? Not trying to downplay, just curious on relative strength as someone not at EVR

I wouldn’t say it beats much at GS, would say GS / MS fig > EVR FIG > JP FIG.

Maybe EVR Gama is better than GS UK M&A / CMG and JPM UK M&A (not sure about EMEA M&A) but not MS M&A execution

GS TMT / MS Tech / media & comms > EVR tech and Telco > JPM TMT.

Evercore Utilities > JPM for the same team but not better than GS. Not sure regarding MS.

Not many banks have a chemicals team but Evercore is deffo best in London for this niche sector team.

JPM/ MS HC > EVR HC > GS HC
