Joined a MM coverage team around a month ago as Analyst 1 with no prior IB experience (lateraled from CB). Everyone is busy with work apart from me, and when I ask for work, they usually say that they are fine. Anyone have any suggestions how to deal with this? Although this means that my WLB is currently fantastic, am mildly concerned.

It’s been 1 month. Maybe frame this post as a reminder if you end up 6 months or a year in and feel like you haven’t slept in a month due to the extreme workload lol. Good luck. Sometimes things are just slow. Too hard to tell given you are only 1 month in plus markets are generally a bit slower during late Dec and early Jan plus overall m&a is having a tough time right now with recession outlook and job cuts / bonus cuts. Hopefully it’s a good year ahead for all
