Show that you've pursued and have succeeded in things outside of just coursework and finance internships. E.g. play more than one varsity sport or be a nationally ranked chess player. Of course, most candidates "show passion" by having a hobby they really like and can talk about fluently. In an interview setting, they like to see that there's a topic where the candidate's "eyes light up".
This is BS; I don't think anyone is looking for someone with "passion" for finance. Nobody except the most socially retarded human being is passionate about finance.
