What was A1 pay before the raise?
95
Anyone know why SA offer letters stated $110k, not $120?
They received their revised letters this morning
Crazy
THANK YOU GS13
Crazy how Lazard is looking so low with 100 A1
An1 top bucket bonus was roughly the same though for Laz and EVR (110k), an1 all-in pay for both potentially is over 200k and discrepancy in pay is smaller than it’s ever been in recent years
Cope. What about mid bucket.
How were other buckets?
LETS GOOOOOO
What’s the new associate base?
Also wondering this
I pray other EBs follow suit
do you think they have to? 20k as base difference is a lot
I think PWP/MOE/PJT will raise, just not sure as high as 120. I'm an incoming/in-training analyst at one that I mentioned and haven't heard anything about a base raise yet.
Qatalyst is at 120 if you consider them an “EB”
LONG LIVE MY KING WEINBERG
What is current associate base? (pre bump)
Pretty sure it was 160k
No question going to be 175+ now. Maybe higher but probably somewhere less than 200. Crazy
A1 (Stub) 160 | A2 160 | A3 180 | A4 200 | VP 250
Doubt they'll change Ass salaries, but if they do would imagine it's communicated similar to the way it was done with Analysts. Summer Associates end August 20 and would see new base reflected in their offer letter, then rest would trickle out from there (week of August 23rd maybe). Associates are already overpaid though with bonuses @ >100% of salary, but given Evercore pays with stock they might try to align cash component closer to street. Who knows
Makes sense. Thanks for the insight
I bet they will. Almost every firm on the street has gone to 175/200/225.
Agreed on everything else you said, except the last part. Does EVR pay part of its bonuses in stock for associates? I thought it was all cash or a minor amount less than 10%, possibly 5% in stock.
MS and GS have both bumped up Associate 1 to 175. It would be ridiculous for EVR to leave associate salaries as-is given the bump to analysts and the bump in competition.
Any news with london? Has to be at least 65k probably 70k

What is current/post-bump As1?
what are bonus buckets this year looking like?
More importantly, will this mean the end of the legendary “Works at Evercore” account on here?
No it is just his beginning
just getting started.
Can any other Analysts at EVR confirm??? Summers haven’t heard which seems pretty counterproductive for retention, no?
edit: is confirmed! Yay!
Confirming second year base is going from $100,000 to $130,000. Bonuses are $105,000 or $110,000.
I cannot personally confirm that first years are getting bumped from $110,000 to $120,000, but I believe they will be as I have heard from multiple different analysts about this.
Your offer letter was already top of street and your signing bonus is 2nd only to Centerview’s 3 year contract.
The extra $10,000 from $110,000 to $120,000 should just be a cherry on top, not what pushes you to sign.
Between EVR offer and another offer from firm also paying top of street (obvious here).
The respective groups are pretty equivalent in terms of prestige (by measure of placement, notoriety or whatever measure). Personal view here, but I’d say the cherry does rather matter to me all other things holding equivalent (albeit bonuses)
Is it true that the delta between top and mid bucket bonuses isn't as much at Evercore as it is as other shops?
So for those that just signed for full time after SA, will the 120 be communicated sometime in the next few weeks? Will our offer letters be updated? How will we know when this is changed?
Six weeks ago I was thanking my lucky stars that I make as much as I do. Today I feel like I’m making fast food money.
Fuckin evercore.
same bro lmao i remember going into undergrad so hype at the prospect of making 90k out of college.
It's all about perspective, I am from northern europe and even if I am at a lower paying shop this amount of money feels unreal.
I made 55k my first job out of undergrad. Have some perspective.
My f*cking Asso 3 bonus better be astronomical to make up for the delta in compensation from my analyst and asso days...
Side note: GS13 better have a book out in a few years after this all shakes out :) They did many kids well.
I like to think WSO played a small but important role in keeping up the pressure and momentum: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/wso-2021-investment-banking-work…; :-)
Congrats to all of the junior bankers out there. It's a good day for the monkeys in finance and at least the suffering many of you are enduring is coming with some monetary reward.
For those of you that are physically and mentally exhausted, don't let these comp changes trap you. Do what is best for your OVERALL happiness.
Good luck!
Patrick
Wonder how many of them left and do not get to enjoy the higher salaries
What would astronomical be in your eyes?
$550+ so ballpark 1.5x new higher base would be nice.
@Patrick - WSO has been great and dont think many other professions have this resource and level of transparency.
> Bet the GS13 left to sail around the world... JK but this all has taught me something invaluable. If you put GS letterhead on a presentation and send it around to social media, it carries weight haha
Thank you! These numbers are pretty awesome. When I worked at Rothschild back in 2002-2004 we were at $55k base and $28k bonus ("near top bucket") lol... granted we were coming out of a recession but I was in the restructuring group getting WORKED. 2nd yr was much better with $60k base and $65k bonus, but still, these new BASE numbers are just awesome. It will be super interesting to see the trend compensation charts start to update in the WSO Company Database and the IB Industry Report as these submissions start floating in.

Patrick, at least you had/have a large cock :)
damn working under OG Neil lol
What were bonuses for EVR this year?
105-110k for A1
Incoming FT A1 and can confirm they amended the SA’s offer letter to reflect 120 base. Pretty insane stuff
not sure why you got MS. can confirm this
Also can confirm updated offer letter reflecting 120k base. Bless up
Yup - received the updated letter today
Did PJT announce increases?
