Doubt they'll change Ass salaries, but if they do would imagine it's communicated similar to the way it was done with Analysts. Summer Associates end August 20 and would see new base reflected in their offer letter, then rest would trickle out from there (week of August 23rd maybe). Associates are already overpaid though with bonuses @ >100% of salary, but given Evercore pays with stock they might try to align cash component closer to street. Who knows

Confirming second year base is going from $100,000 to $130,000. Bonuses are $105,000 or $110,000.

I cannot personally confirm that first years are getting bumped from $110,000 to $120,000, but I believe they will be as I have heard from multiple different analysts about this.

Your offer letter was already top of street and your signing bonus is 2nd only to Centerview’s 3 year contract.

The extra $10,000 from $110,000 to $120,000 should just be a cherry on top, not what pushes you to sign.

Between EVR offer and another offer from firm also paying top of street (obvious here).

The respective groups are pretty equivalent in terms of prestige (by measure of placement, notoriety or whatever measure). Personal view here, but I’d say the cherry does rather matter to me all other things holding equivalent (albeit bonuses)

It's all about perspective, I am from northern europe and even if I am at a lower paying shop this amount of money feels unreal.

I like to think WSO played a small but important role in keeping up the pressure and momentum:  https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/wso-2021-investment-banking-work…; :-)

Congrats to all of the junior bankers out there.  It's a good day for the monkeys in finance and at least the suffering many of you are enduring is coming with some monetary reward.

For those of you that are physically and mentally exhausted, don't let these comp changes trap you.  Do what is best for your OVERALL happiness.

Good luck!

Patrick

Thank you!  These numbers are pretty awesome.  When I worked at Rothschild back in 2002-2004 we were at $55k base and $28k bonus ("near top bucket") lol...  granted we were coming out of a recession but I was in the restructuring group getting WORKED.        2nd yr was much better with $60k base and $65k bonus, but still, these new BASE numbers are just awesome.  It will be super interesting to see the trend compensation charts start to update in the WSO Company Database and the IB Industry Report as these submissions start floating in.
