Literally no reason to join an EB over GS now in general, ex-Centerview.
You’re making the assumption that bonuses will be huge going forward rather than this year being a one-off.
Can confirm - staffer in London was very open and said people should not get too attached to this year's bonus figures, which was to be expected frankly. I mean they paid first years more than what they paid third years just a year ago, let that sink in. Of course this is not the new normal.

Honestly, if the pay difference is negligible, I could see GS winning more cross offers

Associate returns come out in a few weeks so it seems reasonable that they would bump when offers come out, like they did with analysts
