Ex-banker building AI tool for investment banking - looking for feedback

Hi all!

I used to work at a BB and I quit a year ago. I've recently started building an AI tool for investment banking teams and have a working prototype. I'm now looking to speak with junior bankers and seniors to understand whether this pain resonates and what would actually be useful in practice.

The pain I'm exploring:

  • If you're an analyst/associate: How much time have you spent trying to decode what your MD actually wants, then hunting through old decks and also waiting on your MD to reply to your emails?
  • If you're a director/MD: How much time do you lose re-explaining context, answering clarification questions, or digging up old materials your team should have been able to find without you?

I’m still early and mainly looking to learn from people close to the workflow. Location agnostic, and would really appreciate a quick chat if this sounds familiar.

Good idea, truly, but honest truth is that Claude does that at my PE firm (ig chatgpt too). It just connects to sharepoint and bandaging badaboom all your search needs are fulfilled
