Ex-Credit Suisse employees - data theft?

Anyone else receive a letter and email from Credit Suisse notifying that a former employee stole your personal data, including name, address, SSN, email, etc., as well as salaries and compensation data? I have a unique ID that identified me as being affected, but according to their hotline, this was for employees during 2015-2016 (I did not work at that time period). There are articles online with different time periods.

Has anybody else received this and know what's going on? Any legal remedies? Here's the article for those interested: https://www.thestreet.com/banking/credit-suisse-h…
