Exit opps in MM PE (analyst) vs. IB analyst
hi everyone, question as titled. I've accepted an offer at a well-known MM/UMM PE's summer analyst program for next summer (won't go into more specifics as the field for this is much smaller). it's a solid shop and the people are great, but as someone interested in looking at MF exit opps come full time, how do MM PE analysts fare in on-cycle PE recruiting compared to IB analysts? how does this differ across top and mid banks?
how does a junior PE analyst's responsibilities differ from that of banking? is there less training?
Do MM PE analysts even get headhunter looks, and is it more advantageous to already be in PE?
happy to talk about how i got the summer analyst role on a general level, but basically being diversity at a top target and numerous banking offers on hand helped. thx
naviscandian, shame nobody has responded. Maybe one of these topics will help:
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
