EY SaT (Strategy & Transactions) - What does this team actually do?
Hi guys - I'll cut to the chase; the post title says it all really.
I've been browsing LinkedIn for new roles and I am shocked by the sheer number of discrete teams the Big 4 firms like EY have created within what was previously known of as "Corporate Finance / Transaction Services". Each of these separate teams seems to have a very narrow scope (which I find kind of concerning for exit opportunities as it would make one that more pigeonholed).
Anyway, the role in question is within EY's SaT (Strategy & Transactions) team. The job description states that the team is "positioned on key transactions, proactively providing valuable insights, knowledge and advice on large deal targets." I would be "required to form relationships with Investment Bankers and other advisers to chase leads and gather market intelligence."
Not very enlightening as to the type of work I would actually be doing. I would hazard a guess that this is a fairly new team within EY.
Does anyone on here work in EY's SaT (Strategy & Transactions) team or have a reasonable idea what the team does?
Thanks so much in advance!
