february internships in london?

Hey fellow monkeys,

So i discovered that my school has a crappy timetable.
We have no lessons between january and march to allow us time for an internship. In march the second semester starts and lessons end at the end of june.

Now obviously my question to you is: when do SA stints start? Because If they start in june then i cannot apply to them, but i could if they started on the first of july.

And again: is it possible to intern in IBD between january and march?
I know several kids from my school that ended interning in MS, JPM, CS and on, so it can be done, but how should i work this out? When to apply and to what program, that is.

Are off cycle (february or march) internships possible, and are they significantly more hard to land that the normal summer ones?

Generally off cycle internships are for IT/ops, not FO.

Most SA's start end of June/ beginning of July so you should be fine. Also chances are that your exams will finish before the official end of term and so it might not be an issue, If you do have an exam, then start at the BB and go back for the exam and come back the next day. Interns often take a day to go to a graduation if they are doing an SA pre masters and they take a day out.

The exam week this year is between the 21 and the 25 of June, and lessons end on the 11th of june. This means i would have FIVE days at the end of june i couldn't go to work because I'd have to take exams.

Shit i'm getting depressed. This may be workable, but after all the work I'm putting in interview/technical preparation a year ahead of time, the idea that I have even this problem does not make me happy.
