Career in banking is alright. Get the associate promotion and get better at the job an eventually you’ll start to enjoy it. Once you start nailing pitches it becomes fun and an enjoyable career

Respectfully, if 30 interviews did not work out you might need to reevaluate your prep process and figure out what’s going wrong. It’s ridiculous to keep going without a change. Once you’ve diagnosed then fixed your malfunction, go back to bat.
I did 2 years and my heart was not in the game, tried strategic finance and realized I fucking hate finance so I dipped. Way happier and more successful now that I have a job that I feel passionate about.. think wisely and pursue a path that will be good for you
Can you please share what you do now?
I joined a supply chain role for an emerging consumer brand and am launching a startup simultaneously with a good friend of mine.. nothing to do with finance outside of some analysis that actual interest me because it’s related to my entrepreneurial ambitions
I also left banking for stratfin, can you elaborate on what you do now? And when you left your stratfin gig? I’m 6 months into the gig, but still thinking through long term career choices now
Dude I left in 6 months because I couldn’t take more finance bs. I joined a consumer startup I am really interested in, in a supply chain capacity, and am working on a startup of my own with a close friend who works at a hedge fund in the consumer goods industry
